Would Imperial credits be widely accepted on Wild Space planets like Lysatra, specifically at about 15-10 BBY?

It’s impossible to say for sure. On one hand, before the Empire took over, many planets beyond the Mid Rim used different currencies and Republic credits were often considered worthless. Even under the Empire, the Wild Space region was not well documented or explored at the time, so Lysatra may have been using a currency of its own.

On the other hand, Imperial credits were known to be much more widely accepted because the economy had stabilized again after the Clone Wars. We know Eli Vanto knew enough about the Empire to choose to become a cadet, so there was at least some contact between the Empire and the worlds in the area. We also know that his parents owned a shipping company, which may have had to use Imperial currency in order to do business closer to the Core, in which case there would have been precedent for standard credits to be introduced in Wild Space.

Overall, I would say sure, if you’d rather have Lysatra using Imperial credits, then why not? My personal guess is that the planet would be in a weird transition phase of accepting both Imperial credits and whatever currency they originally had, supposedly with a conversion ratio of some sort.

Sorry I couldn’t give a solid answer, but I hope that helps a bit!

Disregarding full obliteration by the Death Star/Starkiller base, are there any examples of worlds in the galaxy “ending”? Y’know, just the surface of the world being completely destroyed by war, natural disasters, disease, famine, etc.—something that could give the planet a post-apocalyptic landscape?

The most drastic example that comes to mind is the planet Duro. During the Clone Wars it was bombarded from orbit by the Separatists, releasing radioactive chemicals from its factories and turning it into an uninhabitable wasteland. Humbarine was also destroyed by the Separatists in an orbital bombardment.

Coruscant could also be considered an example, as the lower levels definitely had a post-apocalyptic appearance, and the lowest ones were completely uninhabitable due to filth and pollution and the monsters that lived there.

Melida/Daan was a planet whose cities were devastated by war, but outside the cities there was still vegetation and a natural landscape.

Kamino’s surface was completely covered by flooding, destroying the infrastructure and forcing the Kaminoans to build cities above the water. This was the cause of the endless storms the planet became known for.

The entire population of Candoria and its colony worlds was eradicated by the Blue Shadow Virus in 42 BBY, though we don’t know how this affected the actual planet itself.

There are also several worlds that became so heavily industrialized that they took on a post-apocalyptic appearance. Fondor and Eriadu are examples of this.

Hope that helps!

EDIT: Thank you @pomrania for reminding me about Mandalore! It completely slipped my mind. Large parts of its surface were destroyed by the Mandalorian Excision.

Do you know who Devaron’s governor was during the Imperial era or, if none was ever shown, who the governor of the Colonies region was during that time?

Devaron was not, to my knowledge, appointed a governor, because it supported the Empire and had its own autonomous government and military. The president of Devaron through the Clone Wars and as the Empire was founded was Aven’sai’Ulrahk, though it is not clear how long she remained in office under the Empire.

As well, Devaron was under the authority of the Grand Moff of the Corellian Oversector. This position was held by Fliry Vorru in the last days of the Republic and under the New Order, until he was succeeded by Naomi Dargon sometime after 7 BBY.

Hope that helps!

do you know what would be the official title of the husband of the queen of naboo? would he be called a king or a prince or a royal consort or something else?

I cannot find any examples of rulers of Naboo with spouses, so I couldn’t say for sure what naming system they use. In real life, from what I can tell, the queen’s husband would likely be referred to as a prince or prince consort. There are examples of him being given the title of king, but they are rarer. Personally, I would go off of real-life titles, but I am far from an expert on those and I would advise doing a bit more research into them before deciding on one.

Sorry I couldn’t be more help. Good luck!

It’s the snow planet anon again! I was just looking for a snowy planet the rebels might’ve been sent on a mission to post-Death Star destruction (so like a war zone? outer rim probably?). Thanks for the help!! :)

As in, after A New Hope or after Return of the Jedi? Either way, the world Dolomar could work. It isn’t canonically a war zone, per say, at those points in time, but there were resistance forces on the planet that forced the Empire out after the Battle of Endor so perhaps rebels could have been sent to help/recruit people. However, it’s located in the Core Worlds, so if you needed something further out that could be a problem.

You mentioned Fest earlier so I’m not sure if you’ve already ruled it out, but it was the site of a battle involving Rogue Squadron as well as rebel ground forces at some point (supposedly) before the Battle of Endor. It’s also in the Outer Rim Territories. Maybe that could work?

Khorm (Mid Rim) was a Republic world during the Clone Wars and a source of some valuable ores, so it could be plausible for the Alliance to send forces to capture the planet for its mines.

Mygeeto (Outer Rim) was canonically captured by the Rebels at some point during the war, with Darth Vader leading TIE forces to stop the uprising, so supposedly there was a battle at some point after the destruction of the first Death Star. After 4 ABY the planet was under New Republic control.

Hope that helps!

Do you happen to know of any planets close to Devaron that were either neutral towards/actively against the Republic/Empire during its reign?

What a coincidence, I’ve been researching the exact same thing! Unfortunately, the options are a bit limited.

Corellia is one world that’s relatively close to Devaron. Technically it was neutral during the early days of the Clone Wars, but did later supply the Republic with ships and weapons. It was pretty much self-governing during the reign of the Empire; while it was under Imperial jurisdiction and had a Moff assigned to it, the citizens were generally quite anti-Imperial.

Atzerri, much closer than Corellia, was neutral during the Clone Wars and later worked against the Empire. Nearby, the planet Kooriva was a planet aligned with the Corporate Alliance that joined the CIS and was eventually taken over by the Republic. It was then punished by the Empire for being involved with the Separatists.

Fondor was a shipyard world that was technically part of the CIS during the Clone Wars, but its population didn’t really support it and didn’t contribute much to the war effort. It was not particularly supportive of the Empire either, but was forced to do major work such as the ship Executor.

Thyferra was the location of a base for the Third Fleet of the Confederate Navy. While the planet was affiliated with the CIS, it appears that it was functionally neutral because the Republic was still able to acquire bacta through the Clone Wars. After the war, its two major bacta companies supplied the Empire’s bacta, though the Rebel Alliance also had a supplier on-world.

That’s about all the major/known planets that would fit. Hopefully one of these work for you!

Hey there, this blog is a lifesaver, thank you for running it! I was wondering if you knew any other canonically snowy planets other than Fest (well, Legends wise) or Hoth? (Doesn’t even have to be entirely snow/ice, maybe just has a winter season?)

You’ll be happy to know, anon, that you have 185 options! Here is the list of planets, both Legends and canon, that are classified as ice worlds.

Obviously that’s a lot to choose from. If you’d rather use a canon planet, you could try one of these (I’ve linked their Wookieepedia articles): Ando Prime, Orto Plutonia, Nelvaan, Rhen Var, Rinn, Toola, and Ilum. There is also Starkiller Base, but I figure that probably wouldn’t work for any characters outside the First Order. Beyond that, it may be hard to quickly break down that list any further.

Depending on your specific scenario, one of these many, many planets might work better than the others. If you’re looking for something more specific (like a smuggler’s haven, an unpopulated world, planets associated with the Republic or the Separatists or the Empire, etc.), feel free to send another ask and I can help you sort through that list.

I hope that helps at least a bit!

What where the closest majorly settled planets near Endor?

The most settled planet would probably be Bakura, which has been compared to Alderaan in terms of appearance. It has a very small population but enough exports to make it important.

There’s also Rattatak, which has a larger population but much less advanced architecture. It is also very isolated and was unexplored by the Republic at the time of the Clone Wars. (Remember the planet that the Jedi Ky Narec found Ventress on as a child? That’s Rattatak).

A little farther out, you find Cerea. It’s less populated than Rattatak and, by choice, is not technologically advanced, but it’s definitely settled (mostly by Cereans like Master Ki-Adi-Mundi but also by a small minority of human and alien refugees). The issue here is that the Cereans don’t let outsiders go anywhere on the planet except citadels built especially for them, so that they don’t ruin the planet’s ecosystem with their technology.

Even farther out, along a hyperspace route called the Great Gran Run, there’s Takodana. It probably wouldn’t fit your criteria, as it’s basically just a stopover for smugglers and criminals headed for the Outer Rim and has a tiny population, but I thought I’d include it anyway because it is a canon planet and it’s seen in The Force Awakens (Maz Kanata’s castle).

There are tons of other planets right near Endor, but most are either barely-inhabited mining planets or have almost no information available on them. I hope one or more of these ones work for you!

Any ravaged by the empire, war-torn planets that Luke/Han/Leia/rebels etc could visit to clear up imperial remnants, close after the end of ROTJ? Any universe – I’m no good at plucking names from the air.

A few that could work:

Derilyn, a planet in sector M-19 where the capital city was destroyed and most of the population killed, which was liberated by the New Republic

Bespin was only truly liberated just after the Battle of Endor. While not canon, Luke, Leia and/or Han could plausibly have gone to help fight at some point.

Luke was sent to aid Bakura very soon after the Battle of Endor, not strictly to fight against the Imperial remnants but to defend them from the Ssi-ruuk. However, it did result in the Imperial forces being overthrown and New Republic control over the planet’s precious metals.

Dantooine was reclaimed by the Alliance soon after Endor.

At some point after 4 ABY, Felucia was brought under New Republic control, but it is not known when or by who.

Thyferra, the only major source of bacta in the galaxy, was liberated in 5 ABY, less than a year after the Battle of Endor (though the New Republic never occupied the planet). Luke probably played a role, as he had fought at Thyferra before.

Kashyyyk, which was under strict Imperial occupation, was freed in 4 ABY before being reclaimed by the Empire and again freed in 5 ABY. The second liberation was aided by Han and Rogue Squadron, so Luke and/or Leia could also have been there.

I’m certain there are countless others that could work, as most planets were under Imperial control up until 4-5 ABY and were freed by the New Republic. Those that were not freed soon after Endor were generally those protected by Grand Admiral Thrawn, such as Corellia, or the Deep Core worlds like Coruscant.

I hope one of these works for you. Good luck!
