The answer is, quite simply, they didn’t want to. The Empire and First Order both operated under the philosophy that stormtroopers were completely expendable and not worth providing with better armour. They were perfectly capable of developing it, hence why some classes of stormtrooper did have much sturdier armour, but they had such a large number of recruits that it just wasn’t necessary. Now, there is a bit of a disconnect here between what we see in the movies and how the armour is described in supplemental material. Safe to say, it appears a bit flimsier in the films than it’s described in the books because it’s convenient to have the stormtroopers die in one shot onscreen. The armour was often sufficient to deflect a glancing hit, and there are instances where we see the trooper get hit directly and get knocked out but still survive. Standard stormtrooper armour wasn’t completely useless, but it definitely wasn’t intended to ensure the safety of the troops.

The mechanism that decelerates a ship from hyperspace is actually never described. Sorry!

Any planet that was particularly involved in the fighting would be a reasonable choice; many of them suffered some sort of attack that could force people offworld. Jedha, for example, could work. Caamas would be a good one, as many Caamasi were displaced by a planetary bombardment in 19 BBY, and Corulag (in canon) was in a similar situation. Refugees were known to flee Kashyyk during the Civil War, as well as Wobani (though some of them went to live on Alderaan and were likely killed before the end of the war), and Denon and Ryloth would also be likely candidates.
I hope that helps! If anyone can think of others feel free to add on!

I actually hadn’t heard of this until now! For those who don’t know, Lucasfilm has filed a number of trademarks on the title Star Wars: Resistance, including ones for a lot of merchandise, and people are speculating that this might be a new animated TV series set in the sequel era. Now that Rebels is coming to a close, I would certainly look forward to a new series, especially one with such potential to explore a whole new area of worldbuilding of which we haven’t seen too much yet. And since there are also the rumours that they’re currently looking for people who worked on Rebels and Clone Wars to do something new, I trust that if it ends up being a TV show it will be done well.

There isn’t a ton of information on this subject. Under the Empire, Separatist and ex-Separatist planets were treated harshly as punishment for going against the Republic, even years after its fall. By around 0 BBY, it seems that Separatist factions were pretty much nonexistent, due to the subjugation of Separatist worlds and the fact that planets were often threatened with mass killings if they didn’t hand over their Separatist citizens. In some instances, ex-Separatist worlds provided support to the Rebellion in retaliation for their treatment by the Empire.
Following the Battle of Jakku we know that Chancellor Mothma was having to deal with the New Separatist Union during negotiations; to satisfy some of their concerns, it was agreed that the capital of the New Republic would not be on Coruscant but would rotate between several worlds. So, as it would appear, there were still tensions between the New Republic and the remaining Separatists, but the New Republic were willing to cooperate with any world who wanted to join them. Being former-Separatist might even be an advantage, if that world then aided the Rebellion in taking down the Empire. As for how the remaining Separatists felt about the New Republic, we really have no information on that and I can only assume that it would vary for each individual.
Hope that helps!

Usually, having multiple sources of thrust that aren’t coordinated with each other is bad news. If the user managed to keep their body completely straight and still, I would imagine that the combination could give them extra speed. However, rocket boots are more maneuverable than jetpacks and much more unstable, so I think it’s more likely that they would end up interfering with the jetpack’s ability to maneuver and cause the user to go all over the place, because those rockets have the potential to point in any direction if the user can’t control them perfectly.
Hope that helps!

In both the Old Sith Empire and the resurrected Sith Empire there were many Sith Lords in existence at once, in a structure resembling the Jedi Order. The Rule of Two was only introduced after the New Sith Wars, somewhere around 1000 BBY, and up until the time of the Galactic Empire the Sith followed this rule, waiting for the chance to reinstate a version of the Sith Empire. There were, of course, other followers of the dark side who were not Sith. Darth Sidious also broke the Rule on two occasions, but generally it was followed during that 1000-year time period.

Yes, it wasn’t uncommon for a Sith to take a child and train them from birth. Though this did occasionally happen in the old Sith Order, particularly notable examples would be Darth Sidious’s attempt to kidnap a number of Force-sensitive children and his training of Maul.
